Ocaso is currently one of the best regarded insurance companies; not only by its customers, but also by the market itself.
Ocaso started its journey in 1920, when the Company was founded by Ramón D'Ortega y Hervella and, since then, has maintained its independence from banking or financial groups, whether Spanish or foreign. Always at the forefront, in 1988 it became the first Spanish insurance company authorised to operate in the direct insurance sector in the United Kingdom.
Implementing Optimyth's integrated Software Quality Assurance portal, checKing QA, Ocaso is giving a big step forward to make sure that all the business applications, developed in-house or outsourced to external software factories, meet the level of quality Ocaso requires. The fundamental goal is to standarize the development and reduce the maintenance cost of their applications. For Ocaso, the maintainability of their applications is key. Optimyth has helped Ocaso to define a quality model that pays special attention to this characteristic of software quality. We have implemented our own maintainability indicator based in the SIG and SEI defined indicators.
