Reale Seguros, part of the multinational Reale Mutua Group, has implemented Optimyth's Application Inventory Management solution, checKing AIM.

The project is part of Reale's strategy to better control their development lifecycle. During the first phase, Optimyth will help Reale to create an inventory of the components of their applications and the relationships between them. The primary goal is to have complete view of Reale's software assets.

One of the key functionalities of checKing AIM will help them generate technical documentation of their applications on the fly to have first hand information about what an application module does, this is valuable information for the developer to help them with the maintenance of the applications.
Another interesting capability to benefit and reduce the maintenance cost is impact analysis. With the complete map of an application's components Reale can now analyze how a change in a component of an application, whereas it is a database table, class or other type of component, impacts the rest of the application. This allows them to focus on the change without the worries of undesired side effects.
