Application complexity is a drag on businesses; it impedes the ability to achieve their objectives in a flexible manner.

At times like these, when enterprise competitiveness is based on technology and time-to-market, maintaining their competitiveness level is a key factor, a perfect alignment of business needs with the applications and the technologies that support them is required, and in many cases this alignment is not possible because of the complexity of the applications and the technologies, which leads to the concept of rationalisation. 

We saw that evaluating the complexity level of applications and using the right tools, IT managers can make decisions to rationalise applications in such a way that technology may enforce business flexibility by helping its growth.
