Panda Cloud Antivirus is the revolutionary and free new solution for domestic users of Panda security, which protects users in real time against new malware from the cloud. The new solution has revolutionised the industry of security.

The portal which houses: www.cloudantivirus.com, has played a key role in the launch of this new solution, the quality and performance of which has been certified by Optimyth Software.

The first beta version of Panda Cloud Antivirus was launched in April 2009.  From then until November 2009 (the release date of the final version) different companies worked on the development of the portal that houses the new solution.
This ambitious project of Panda Security was a cooperation of different businesses which involved the integration and control of the development deliverables. It is at this stage that Optimyth Software collaborated by carrying out the quality control of the different developments and global performance of the solution.
Optimyth Software, an international business specialised in software asset portfolio, quality and application performance management, has worked during the last year with the Information and Technology teams and the Project Management Solution team by certifying the quality of the development and its infrastructure, undertaking performance tests and contributing improvement proposals throughout the different versions of the solution.

The central player in this technical certification solution has been the technology of checKing (developed by Optimyth Software), it was used to establish the solution’s quality model, to perform statistical code analysis, consolidate the tests results and to present them in a comprehensive and coherent manner through the ability of checKing’s reports generator.

The quality model was agreed upon between Optimyth Software and Panda Security, functioning as a reference for the code certification for future versions of the portal. This has allowed Panda Software to audit the adequacy grade of the code relative to the established rules for Panda Security. This is done with reference to efficiency, reducing maintenance cost and increasing quality and ease of growth in functionality.

As a result of this close collaboration, Optimyth proposed to Panda Security a series of optimisation recommendations of the software and infrastructure with which has allowed Panda Security to achieve increases in performance of around 300%, measured in the capacity of concurrent users, and of about 85% in terms of response times, this has substantially increased the capacity of the infrastructure.
